Hello, everyone. I downloaded the demo of fryrender as plugin for rhino.
as usual, I had also tried with the maxwell demo, I can not see in the rhino window a preview of the texture of the material to possibly change the settings of the material itself (scale, position, rotation, etc.)
I try with the visualization render, nothing, I always see the solid colored with the base color or however not the texture.
if I check the default materials of rhino, the texture appears.
you have suggestions.
thanks in advance, roberto

in the next version of maxwell render the rendering preview will be possible directly from the inside of rhino. take a look at the video. ;)

Hello, thank you for the answer. cool video; really remarkable the possibility of preview in real time. but is it already available?
I found the solution this morning. practically, stupid error:redface:, downloading the material from their site, I had saved in the material folder only the fryrender material icon and not the "maps" folder with textures. copy and paste into the right folder and everything is displayed. . .
I saw that there would be a plug in fryrender "swap" that does this directly in the render window, but I did not understand if it is like that of maxwell odevi have already counted those 12,000 hours of render:biggrin:, in order to be able to change the settings of the materials.

Thank you.
However, I'm still in doubt whether to throw myself on fryrender or maxwell. I would need some renders to present furnishing accessories that I design and then realize in part with cnc tools and post them as catalog on a future website. the models printed them with rhino and silo and a possible pass in zbrush. then set in interior spaces of houses. for now I will continue to spy and see a little how the two engines behave, then we will see what to buy, especially without having to invest in graphics cards and rams at this time.

Hi.

with maxwell you would have the rendering preview included in the cost, (incoming exit) and goes on cpu, I think it is one of the fastest, they did a really great optimization job, with the window in rhino, with fry you have to buy apart arion, with the same cost, and goes on gpu, so if you do not have a powerful one, you have to update the graphics card to have good performances, there is the plugin for rhinos, the same, the same program. fry in the future should have the same preview function inside usable only as preview, but you do not know anything yet about it. to use swap you must have made the render with fry first.
