problem autodesk showcase

hi to everyone, today's problem is the following: I have a version of autodesk showcase 2012, and I tried to open an inventor file but during the conversion I appeared a message:" one or more files culd not be imported ", I also tried with other sw files but the result is the same. can this problem arise due to the fact that my version of inventor is 2013 while showcase is 2012? or anything? thanks for the attention.
