problem epa norms with old machines

some of our perfectly working machines have problems getting into california for the epa norms that since 2015 will oblige diesel engines of a certain category to comply with the tier 4 final standards, I asked if replacing the old motor with a tier 4 final the norms would be respected automatically or not?

I'm sorry, I can't help you. I have to say that the same thing happens in Europe, there are limits on engines. each engine can be placed in the market up to a certain period of time. I don't know if that's true for Australia.
I think it's better that you feel some bodies that then you have to "certificate".
