Bye to all,
I just joined the forum and hope I have chosen the right section for this question:
I have to solve this problem.
the diameter d0 of a copper billet (length l0=250 mm) must be reduced from 127 mm to 60 mm. the characteristics of the material are shown in the table.
tfusion (°c) and (gpa) y (mpa) uts (mpa) a% k n c m
800 100 700 900 10 315 0.54 240 0.06
by operating a reverse extrusion (right angle matrices) the extrusion pressure with the following report has been satisfactorily estimated:
p=(σ_f )(0.8+1.3*ln r)
processing takes place at 100°c.
calculate the power needed to achieve the reverse extrusion process
not having any data of speed or time how do I get a power?
Thank you for your help!
