Hello everyone,
I am at the very first weapons with hypermesh and I am having problems with the passage from catia v5 to hypermesh. I'll explain better: I modeled a pot in the cat and now I should go to the mesh stage in hypermesh. to do so I imported the geometry in hypermesh iges format, but instead of having surfaces I only have "lines" of geometry (I put an image attached there). I have already tried to import other models made in my computer and give me all the same problem, even if I try to open them from another computer; instead if I try to import a model always made in catia but in another computer I have no problem. I hope I've been clear and someone can answer me.

Hi.
I don't know hypermesh, but from your reasoning, it seems to me that it's a problem with settings in hypermesch options on the computer.
you tried to import a step file (as long as it is possible with hypermesch)

Hello Damian, those you see in the image are surfaces. you just need to change the display from "by mouse" to "by comp" and you will see the solid component. "by mouse" shows you the topology of geometry.

Probably, the other pcs from which you tried to import the geometry displayed it well for the different display setting.

hypermesh is one of the best pre-post solutors in circulation. Of course it also matters step.
