good evening to all the friends of the forum,
as you see in the annex I built this handle from the wall cabinet that I have to print it with 3d printer
The only scratch that came to me is how to create a closed solid, the whole body of the handle with the boolean I managed to create a single closed polysurface, but the problem lies on the face of the jellyfish that I imported that it is not a surface, but it is a mesh and does not give me the chance to merge with the rest, how do you do it in these cases? Is it feasible or should I remove the imported mesh? :frown:
I hope I've explained well.
Thank you in advance.

greetings

mesh and solid/superfici are different things, normal that you do not join them.
or turn the solid into mesh and join the mesh you already have or do the opposite.
the Boolean operations with mesh send enough in rhino crisis.

technomodel quoto but only in the first part, i.e. transform the polysuperfic closed into a mesh and apply a : unionbooleanamesh if the mesh intersect you should not have surprises.

I don't want to be inaccurate, but I think that:
you could save your file in stl
and then, with the tools that rhino puts you at your disposal

even more unstable.......... if it does not close with a unionbooleanamesh there is obviously some problem of mesh....... toolmesh is not yet a valid command unless you mean the one available on matrix that in this sense is stunning, or you can try it as long as you do it with very simple structures............... but as soon as the situation gets complicated you do not work this is the sad reality............... at the bottom if there are programs like magic there will be............ .

you could post the file, maybe using
boldhopper, or tspline you can easily
