Hi.
I am simulating a telescopic arm in hm, but I have a problem on the constraints; in the lower end of the arm is made a hinge by welding an iron tubular to the arm itself along the entire length of the tubular;
inside this tubular is inserted a pin that then externally accommodates on the structure of the lift;
so I created a beam element with the pin section is I placed it on the axis of the hinge; the beam is connected to the tubular through a series of rbe3 elements created assuming as a node dependent on the axis of the hole and as independent a series of nodes on the hinge (presumably those where the forces are discharged); the only free dof is the rotation along the axis of the zipper coincidence in this case with the x axis, so I blocked all dofs except dof4; then to simulate the accommodation on the outside structure to the arm I created two hinges that bind the beam that simulates the pin leaving also here free dof 4 and blocking others. When I go to launch the simulation on radioss, I get this error back. . .
error # 339 from subroutine preprbe3
the dependent d.o.f. is constrained by grid or spc data.
rbe3 element id = 8326336
cry id = 2794738
component = 1
but I don't understand who can depend on the fact that the x-long rotation has been left to both rbe3 and external constraints, while the other constraints have been currently blocked since there must be no other degrees of freedom. .
I know that maybe it is a bit twisted as an explanation but you have some ideas?
