problem with foundations

I would like to refer to a problem which I cannot solve with the demolition and reconstruction of the structural foundations. I explain better: I have a project (presented in common) with walls and pillars (structural); Now I have to draw up a variant (architectural and structural) that includes, among other things, foundations different from the original. the problem arises in the phase that I called "variant in progress of work" where I should demolish the original foundations and create the new ones, but it does not make me do it. I can only do it if "cancel" just physically the old foundations in the original phase, but obviously it's not how I want to proceed. I hope I was clear to those who wanted to give me advice. You are right, I meant that once I have my foundations "attached" (or rather, associated) to my walls, it seems that you cannot demolish using the next steps. I certainly mistake something in the settings of my steps themselves. the impression is, to try to clarify, that once made subject of a phase, they can no longer be manipulated in the next steps.
