problem with orbit tool on a 168mb model

Hi, everybody, I have a problem!
I am working on my own to the 3d reconstruction of a late French Gothic cathedral, the file weighs 168 mb, without application of materials, textures and lights. but when I try to use the bound orbit tool, the program closes by saying irreversible error violation of something and closes everything...from what could it be due? I would like to point out that the pc on which I work is a dual-core cpu repentum e6300 @2.80ghz, with 4gb ram ddr2 and video card nvidia geforce 9500 gt

How could you do that?

you mount everything you can, I guess then I have to take myself as soon as I can another motherboard that suppports multiple rams and a different processor more powerful...boh boh o.o

a solution without having to spend money could be to keep frozen much of the model (capitelli, guglie, etc.) in the phases of change view and regeneration.
