problem with struttural members

Hello, everyone!
solid works 2008 sp 3
I created a frame with structural member function; is a very articulated tube frame and now I brought the drawing to the table;

to identify the cutting length of the various tubes I want to use the automatic bubble method so those who read the drawing from the piece number can easily trace to the cutting size;

here arises the problem: I noticed that in the section views, going to manually bubble the tubes for clarity of the design and easy readability, solid works does not recognize the position of the various elements; continues to identify members with the number of bubble 1;

in the sections probably loses links to the tabellina of the various elements.

Is there a tick between the various options I haven't selected or is it just a sw kiss?

Thank you.
p.s. I searched in the forum but did not find answers.:frown:

is a problem + or - known that you have with welded. this problem is given by the two configurations (welded and machine) that makes solidworks. if you edit view properties and selections "use the last saved configuration of the model or the one in use" instead of a specific configuration the problem should be resolved.
Usually to bypass this sin I work without these two configurations. the configurations that remain normal (without welded and machine) are those created prior to the insertion of the welding function.

so if you:
1- create the part
2- create a configuration with a random name
3- Activate this configuration with random name (it should already be)
4- Insert welding function
5- Turn to the default configuration and delete the configuration with welded and machine
6- models welded part

avoid the problem from the beginning.

Try and then tell me.

Hi.

thanks for the information! the problem is that I have already created my frame; I tried to make a new configuration and delete others; I noticed that "car" always keeps it;

I was wrong to declare the version of solid works: I have 2008 sp0 at home;
I noticed by a friend that on the sp4.0 not from this problem;
to me the bubbles do not only work on the sections and I do not understand why; I don't want it to be a tick somewhere.

Thank you!

There's no tick. the problem is about those configurations. for this you must try to change configuration in the properties of the view, delete the bubble and put the bubble back. basically the bubble must be hung up after changing configuration to work.
2008 with the welded had problems, but not of this type, often if you performed the repetition of bodies did not associate the same bodies correctly until the service pack 3.0.

I tried and tried but the result is always the same;
If I create a simple structural element (e.g. irregular geometrical configuration with 4 sides) solidworks automatically creates me as you said 1 "machine" configuration under which there is a "welded" subconfiguration.
if I manually create a new configuration, sw still creates the configuration with the name I chose e.g. pippo <a macchina=""> and a pippo subconfiguration <saldato>; I have thus deleted the pippo subconfiguration<saldato> but there is no way to delete the voice <a macchina="">;

I then put everything in tables with my configuration and the result is the same: cut list in tabellina ok, bubbles on the projected views (both on the main and on the others) ok, but do not stamp the various elements distinguishing them on the sections;

on the section does not recognize the pieces of the structure;

How do I proceed?
Is there someone who has sw 2008 sp0.0 who can tell me if he does the same thing?</a></saldato></saldato></a>

Hi.
have you tried to check the option, "keep connected to the distinct materials" in the property of the section view (see attached image)?
I have solidworks 2008 sp. 5.0 and I have no problems regarding the structural members.

"keep connected to separate materials"
yes I have tried; It is true: I also tried with the 2008 version sp 4.0 and it works fine.
my 2008 sp 0.0 does not work. of course I also entered the tabellina before the bubbles trying and trying to change configuration but nothing; If you want I attach the file (I don't know how to do it you have to turn it off).

but the problem I think is about my version or my solid because taking the same file and working on the other pc with version 4.0 I managed to do what I wanted; Can someone pass me 4.0? Do I need to install it or do I need a new license number? How does it work? Who knows could contact me on trial?
Thank you.

That is what I wanted to tell you; why have you never updated?
Usually the thing is "automatic", you receive warnings from the network of new versions/upgrade directly from solidworks.com.
the waste / install directly from them without need of new license, there is already Yours (?).
if you stayed back check from the help menu to the voice verification updates, it makes you a check (check the license..) and recommends the last available. from here download and install directly.

because the prices to maintain assistance only exorbitant and also telephonely I rarely get to contact it;
thanks to all

but if you have a license for the version of that year the sps for that version are guaranteed and "your own" for the annual validity of the contract. in the sense that if you bought 2008 you automatically "in assistance" for the current year, including updates.

as it rightly reminded you sampom the sps of your version you can have them even if you are not in assistance. I add that it is not thinkable to work with any version at the sp 0.0
