I agree, in the company we have two i7 965 and are very fast, for a new ws it is worth spending a little more to doubt of this new platform.

My experience: with the dual one cpu worked at high values while the other was watching. with the quad two cpu work at high values, one in half, the other little. this by opening task managers. I can't tell you if they're reliable indications, the impression is positive.
