I managed to transport a cad proe model in ansys,saving the file in iges or parasolid format,but the geometry is not preserved perfectly,in proximity of curvatures,are there other methods to do this? thanks in advance

in proe you can install the plugin for ansys so that you can import into ansys directly from proe...

a fundamental thing is to have the license because they put the plugin paid for proe.. . other fundamental thing is the version, wf2,3 and 4 work perfectly with both 11 and 12..

other thing to check is if you have 64-bit ansys and in this case also proe must be 64-bit (pene the non-function of the plugin). .

the fastest method to reinstall the plugin with the 11 is to start the installer and change the installation and select the plugin for proes from the list of programs to reinstall.. For the 12 there is a program called cad configuration manager under programs->ansys 12-> utilities... from this you can enable the plugin to proe...

guys can't install and find this plug-in if you want to do without the plug-in how should I save the proe??? in the iges file opens a drop-down menu with options to consider which should I hold?? ?

going to memory, from proe do tools-> auxiliary applications->record and navigate to the directory aisol/cad configuration inside the installation folder of ansys where you find the folder proe and inside find wbpluginpe.dat, select it and do ok...

at this point you start the plugin (always from auxiliary applications) and you have the plugin for proe..

proe gives me the message: that applications 'wb110 pluginprowf' and 'ac4pro110dll' are already registered

then, if you have ansys license for proes, you have in the proe menu bar the item ansys 11.. .

try also to verify that the "accuracy" parameter of proe is appropriate then maybe try also with the step. Strange though: I must say that the geoemtria exported from proe is among the most "clean" usually!

When you start ansys after pressing the button in proe, you will find a proe icon on the central part of the wb and on the left column you will find the actions you can do... at this point you can import directly into simulation (red icon) or import it first into designmodeler and then go into simulation. .

when you enter ansys by proe you find on the left the link for the design modeler or for the simulation.. . .
