hi raga, I wanted to draw a 2d profile relative to the external face of a pipe cut transversally. I'll explain better.

I have a curve (turned pipe).
to this curve flows a tube.
I created the curve with a circular crown and a sweep, then I made an extruded crown (the tube)

I have eliminated the faces and octego the pointed tube (allego pdf for clarity).
Now I'd need to unroll the cut pipe to see the profile on the floor.
Thank you.

Look at this file, maybe that's what you're asking.
the curved fitting there is no way to spy on it, inventor only spy on what you could do in the workshop with a knife bending machine or grille not what comes from mold.
Remember that to spy on a curved sheet (cylinders or cones) you must always select the face and then press the button go to flat model.

I'm correct. if you use 2010 in the sheet there is the profiling command that to make the curves as yours is right.
Look at the files...

I'll tell you soon
Thanks again:)

Unfortunately I can't open your files.[ERRORE] the database schema is more recent than this software version. <rseres(206)> </rseres(206)>[R:\core\RSe\database\databaseC.cpp, line 644]This message appears to me (probably because I am using inventor 9):frown:

Sorry. inventor does not allow to save in previous versions.
I think with 9 you can do little!
