Hi, guys.

I need to remake the garage door. And I came up with this idea of making it myself.

the idea is to build a sheet metal frame cut/folded/painted/revetted.

I have a certain experience in building such objects but I never happened to realize a door.

Does anyone know how to indicate any technical/draft documentation from which to take stock?

the idea is then to create a parametric set to share here on the forum. also as a learning tool.

So I see that the idea likes it.

characteristics are:

• width: 2200 mm
• altezza: 2500 mm
• 2 doors of equal size openable to the outside
• in the upper part of the doors a "window" to illuminate the garage
• locking, possibly electrical to motor it in the future.
• predisposition for automatic opening.

I made two years ago. However I used profiles for steel clamps, hot galvanized after assembly.
I made the swab windows with alveolar polycarbonate and closed the bottom with sandwich panels sp. 40 mm.
Usually the two-door doors do so, the construction of sheet seems to me + used for shovels.
