Hello everyone, I would like to submit this problem: work in the office with the 2014 version of revit, while on the laptop (old) I have 2013. wanting to work (and then update/modify) to my project when I am out of office with the laptop, you can then "add/update" the file I hold on the workstation without overwriting it, but only importing changes (e.g. a plant, a prospectus, etc.)? all this because the laptop is equipped with 32 bit view that does not support revit 2014.
Thank you.

question: how do you plan to open the rvt2014 file with your revit 2013 mounted on the laptop?
In my opinion you should rather update the x86 view to a 64-bit operating system

hi tristan is just that the core of the problem! Unfortunately I forgot to leave a copy of the project in 2013 version on the laptop, as I have always done before. I think I just have to give up working during the week and devote only on weekends, until I decide to change my laptop.
Thanks for the answer, though.

when exposed here reiterates the gaps regarding saving files in previous versions.
It is a necessary need and it does not understand why it does not remedy!

of all parametric modelers for mechanical design nobody saves in previous format! It's gonna be a reason, right? you are too accustomed to generic cads as autocad

I think mario cant is more a commercial strategy adopted by softwarehouse for obvious reasons. I am not so convinced that there are special technical reasons (without obviously going back many years on o.s maybe not supported). I may mention allplan as a positive example (as a user) which allows to save data up to 3 previous versions (while obviously the data are always readable on more up-to-date versions).
strategies of the different software houses;-)
