Hello, everyone.

I have to apply a pressure on a portion of a solid surface.

I currently model the solid in a standard way, then create a surface through sketches in the area where I want to load, and then apply pressure only to this surface.

Is that correct?

you can use the "surface region" command directly in pro/mechanica (in the single part). guides you in creating a sketch directly in pro/mechanica so you can divide as you think a surface. At that point you will apply your force (or pressure) to the area of the surface you have divided.

there is also the "volume region" command that allows you to divide a solid part in order for example to increase the meshatura only in that porzioen volume you have divided. idem of course for the meshatura of the surface I said earlier.

Actually "trucks" of this type are normal in the "sector". I would say that prom is indeed one of the best.. .

it is not true that all components of the axieme will be subject to inertial force: just attribute the real density only to those "desired". among other things in prom there is the possibility to distribute the loads with parametric laws, could come back useful.

Last consideration: if you use the "lite" version it is clear that certain advanced fem entities may not be available.
