public geometries

Hello.

I created 3, and I became mad because I need to copy the surface of a handle inside another .prt, but without it being bound to the .asm from where I took it.
I knew that you could do with public geometry, but I always and still remain the gray command, whether they select the feature, whether I touch the surface etc... and I don't understand why.

Is that possible?

offset? No, but I knew there was public geometry to do something like that... but I can't make it work and I don't understand why

the command is copy geom, not the public.

copy geometry and the resulting feature, right click and put in manual update, eye if you decide to make it independent total, you can no longer go back.

the public geometry use it on the components from which you often recover the same geometries, if you do not have this need, use the copy geometries as mirror says.
