purchase 3d printer

Good morning.
Any advice on the purchase of a 3d printer for technical study, mechanical engineering?
I would like to use it for the creation of prototypes of mechanical parts and verification of a proper assembly, then make them realize externally with professional technology.
the important thing would be to have a fairly large print area.... at least 1000 x 1000

from what I see the print area turns out to be of 700x350x300 mm However, I recommend to build large components in multiple parts and then paste them, use machines with large areas is not very simple both for the difficult alignment due to the non-perfect flatness and for the construction time really exaggerated.

I do not know anything about costs, but I do not think they are prohibitive!
