quotas in drawings (guided and not)

Hello everyone,
I am working with solidworks designs made by other people.
working on the 2d, I noticed that the quotas already present (black color) if modified go directly to change the model 3d.
the quotas that I add instead, are of a bad light gray, and they only seem annotations (guided rates?) and modifying them only the text.
those "scure" are referred to the drawing (quota@file3d... ) the grige at the sight (quota@vista di progetto 1)
I would like to understand how to handle them, so to put a uniform color on the designs, but above all to understand
Thanks :)

Isn't that you have two different board standards for the document?
In document options the first item is document standard, which indicates where the odds must end and how they must appear. If you do not use the same style you may not display correctly.
other hypothesis, there's something wrong with the references between design and model, but in that case it would warn and be green-able.
other and more likely hypotheses, you have activated (see line format bar) the color display icon, which shows the nno quotas and sketches with the attributes of the layer or the assigned color, but with the default one used for sketches and quotas (make see black those active and gray those guided, whether they or not in a level that imposes their thickness and color).

p.s.: a small presentation for new users, however welcome.. . ! !

You're right, I'd like to introduce myself.
I am roberto, ing of materials, have recently passed from the world of research (fem, vibrational analysis and some mechanical design on my behalf) to that of industry.
I received a good offer, and now I'm a full-time mechanical designer.
paid doubled compared to the search check, which stopped me from abroad.
work on gas meters as technical office, so I deal with design, development, production and a lot of different issues.
I went from catia to solidworks, both dassault products, but a little different from each other.

returning to the problem of the post, all odds are in the same level.
I solved by -> tools, options, system options, colors, odds (not imported) putting the same black as imported.
But I still want to understand how to import quotas, I'm not succeeding.
I should also learn how to use levels, I think... I'll have to study a little more the help seems.
Thanks for the help:finger:

Hi.
then the odds in gray are the ones that you put in hand, the black ones are the ones imported directly from the model, it is for what if you change the pattern too. insert with the command (if I remember well) insert or import quotas, the same as you use to insert the threads together to mean us. what you did in options is just having changed the view.

Hi, Uncle,
as they told you so is: the black default odds are those obtained by importing template quotas. those of different color, which you can also customize are those referred only to table 2d.

black ones go directly to change the entities of the solid.

you can make everything of the same color, but then you lose the distinction between the two categories of quotas. Those olive/green color are the quotas that have lost the reference of geometry in the context of creation.

thanks to all, you put me on the good road to better understand how to use sw. My mistake was as follows:
not using layers, I put quotas directly on the drawing.
the effect was that, in fact, the imported quotas were black, the other grays.
working more cleanly, I created a layer for the odds in which I defined the black color, I selected the "quote" filter, I selected everything and I brought the odds into the newly created layer.
thanks for the help!
