I have to insert dimensions directly on the 3d model of assemblies so that I can make jpg images of the object; I have inserted with insert>annotations>dimension the size the only problem is that when I have to insert them in the sense of depth does not put them because it says that they are not parallel to the reference plane!

How do I change the reference plan for this kind of quota?

the command is view > annotation orientation. you need to change the reference plane and text rotation to align it to the size.
