Good morning, I'm just saying I read the topic like this, but... the proposed solutions do not generate a real solid with which to do Boolean operations or assemble pockets and what else.. but still remains a surface. .
I'm working on the skin of a mold... and I should apply it to a block.
I for now (not having done well the superifices on catia) extruded all the edges of the surface so as to create a solid closed made of surfaces (to make it short). I've done this in the gsd. all beautiful but still remain a cursed surface... who is teaching me that he showed me how to turn a surface into solid (he showed it to me with the sphere) but, I just don't remember how he did.. .

I currently have a "closing surface" in a separate body and thought I had made it but, if assembled to a pocket... Nothing happens. because it is not a solid :
Can anyone help me? What was the "solid lock" command? ?

hi not being at work I find it difficult to remember in the exact name of the commands:
I would do that!
in "superfici" environment I would combine all surfaces with the specific command, making sure that there are no open edges (important)
then in "solid" environment there is the command "solid from surfaces" (I might be wrong with the wording). This command creates a solid (change also color)
Maybe I can be more accurate Monday when I'm at work, let me know
alessandro

...... okay maybe it's time to pull off and do more... It worked out, only that I had on show the surface of origin... As I saw, I gave myself all the insults of the case alone. .
have mercy

you can turn it into solid with the "closed surface" function of part design you see in photo.

Hi.
