read-only quotas

Hello, everyone.
how do you make the quotas of a sketch "read-only", and find it, to change them?
I downloaded a model of gear, of which, for my use, I would like to reduce the thickness, but the quota, in the sketch, is read only.
If I don't mean to spread the modified model for me, or to make it a "commercial" use, is it a question that can be overcome?

select the quota, dx key, remove the tick at the guided quota. if it does not create conflicts with the rest of the sketch becomes changeable.
If you want to say "read only" you can take the check out in the property manager of the quota, under the tab, where there is also "piloted", equivalent to a guide.
If the options are gray, it means it's not possible to change it. erase it and put what you want.

in the sketch I followed your radical advice: I erased it and done it again.
in the modification of the extrusion, instead, selecting the quota, I saw the tab "other" where it was selected "read only" in the options.

So, problem solved, and something more learned, waiting for someone to decide to invest on me to make me a course.
