Hello to the community,
I am a student graduating and I would need to learn in "fretta" to use basic autocad commands to reproduce a digital model of the terenno.

are in possession of:
- autocad 2013
- road map 3d 2013
- a .dwg file, representing the 1:5000 technical card of the area of interest.

the dwg file includes legend, labels and obviously level curves and listed points. from the properties of the elements of interest, I see that in the item elevation are all set to 0.

My purpose is to extract from the dwg the isoipse suns and quotated points, change the quota attributes by inserting the correct values, create the digital model of the soil with 5 meters pitch.

I know it's a lot of stuff, but I'm just a little bit of a day's experience, and I don't ask to step through all the directions, but at least get some tips on how to proceed.

I was advised to work on dxf files, but when with autocad "Save with name2 in dxf, if then try to open the file itself nothing appears.
I also know the shp format that I use on qgis software, and on the latter there is a plug-in that converts the dxf into shp, but loading the dxf, produced by me with autocad, gives me a mistake.. .

practically in the dark, even for the total absence of software knowledge.

thank you so much for the attention and hope you can "help me"

only curves or even points are at altitude 0?

What do you have to do with the soil model? say "pass 5m"; So you want to create a dem, not a tinc?
I was advised to work on dxf files
you were advised very badly! use dwg.

very kind tristan,
Thank you very much for reading the topic, and thanks to the moderators for moving in the right section.

curves and points are set to 0. the curves under the heading " elevation", the points under the heading "z position".
according to my opinion the card was scanned, made a recognition, "recalcata", were assigned classes (or layers) and then saved.. .

I am working, with autocad 2013, on the .dwg; in practice I am joining the various isoipse (spectate there where the label appears with the "quota value", or in other points, type intersections with roads...) and then I intend to change the voices " elevation" and "z position" from the properties of each object. Am I okay?

Here the speech is a little "long".
in practice I am working on a thesis in gravimetry and I need to create the gravimetric effect generated by the masses/holidays (mountains/valves) compared to the quotas of my measuring points of g .
I need to get a pattern of soil on each point of the paper, so that it interpolates the quota values of the isoipse and the points listed, to generate a more likely trend of the topography.
what I need at the end of the day is a great (huge?) matrix, of the xyz type, on every point of the map. the interpolation must be done on points that fall in areas of 5x5 meters (from here step 5 m).
Now I don't know the actual difference between dem and tinc (the latter exploits the inclined triangles? if you go better; does the dem use interpolating surfaces functions?). In any case being able to make one of the two would already be so much :d.

Thank you very much for the attention.

What area are we talking about? sure there are no lidar data about the portion of land that interest you?

to be honest and sincere I did not search for such data, as I am working on what was provided to me.

the area is near colliano (sa) and I need the topographic model to be as detailed as possible, for this work on a 1:5000 card (we are in an intramontane basin suitable for the only grazing of cattle, and for a walk on the southern apennines).
