recommended system configuration with nx7

hi guys, in the company we are evaluating the passage to nx7 (we will wait out of nx7.5) and at the same time replacing all pcs (contract/night stay with dell).
Since we will definitely renew with some of you have already had the opportunity to use nx7 on workstations??
in your opinion to manage assemblies with on average 300 details which would be the recommended configuration for new pcs (processor, ram, video card, disks, operating system)? ?
what configurations do you have on your machines?? Do you work well or have slowdowns and boredoms? ?

ah I forgot...the current configuration we have is as follows:
of precision pws490
intel(r) xeon(r) cpu 5130 @ 2.00ghz
3.00 gb ram
picture fx 3500 - 256mb
disc sas 146 gb
xp professional (sp2)

and currently with nx5 it goes a little tight... .

I would feel like recommending some basic points that only do well.
1) a few cores but high frequency, ug exploits little the multiprocessor, therefore useless to have 4 cores and see only 2 in action
2) 64-bit systems = seven x64 (I already use seven with nx6 (x32) and I have no problem.
3) powerful graphics (proportionate to budget )
4) ram at will if you do cam and analysis, if you do only cad 8 gb are currently too many
5) an eyelet here http://www.spec.org/gwpg/gpc.data/vp10/ugnx-vendor.html can give a hand :biggrin:

-intel core 2 quad cpu q 9450 @2.66ghz
-8 gb ram
- nvidia picture fx 4600 750mb

I uploaded a file(together) with 20930 components
I will have opened about half...no problem!!

configuration depends on what you need to do

Go on. www.spec.org if you want to find benchmarks of various graphic sk, viewperf results 10.
Although the 3800 seems slower than the numbers you have highlighted, in nx the 4600 has a mean of 27.07 against the 32.66 of the 3800 x which would seem faster this latter.
