Good morning to all, I would like to ask you an information: at home I have two pcs, a portable (poco powerful) and a fixed (piuttosto powerful). I'm realizing thesis and, at this time it starts to become quite heavy for my laptop, and I would like to use the power of my fixed. Now, since I can't move into the "office" room the fixed, I got an idea: is it possible to work in revit "remotely", i.e. by accessing the fixed pc from the laptop and then work on the fixed, but using the laptop in another room?
I hope I've been clear! thanks in advance and good day to all.

Yes, the application is called remote desktop,
on your laptop there is sure, it will work if on the fixed you have at least one professional version of windows (e.g. win7 pro)

edit: obviously works with any application installed on the fixed, practically connect you to the fixed and see the desktop of the fixed pc in your local lan network.

Thanks a lot of guys, you saved me more or less 1000 euros, since I was about to buy a new laptop :)

for programs like revit however a fixed pc I think will remain unsurpassed, at performance level as well.
