rename parts without losing connection

would someone be so kind to explain the correct procedure to rename a part file without losing the connection in the axieme that contains it?
in the company we have to rename the part at the end of the design when we codify, they told me to rename from top explorer but so doing I lose the connection in the assemblies that I must then reconnect manually with risks of error.
I can't believe there's no better way to avoid losing links.

I can't try with the assemblies, but for the derived parts and those connected to nc files the operation managed me from the internal browser of toptron, in the dialogue "open file". In theory it should be the same using the toptron explorer, but in practice it is not so.

I made a hot line and suggested to rename from toptron explorer but to do so by expanding the axieme and rename the component contained in it and not that within the folder.

Hi.
you can rename in 3 ways:
1) within assembly (right click on component -> rename component).
2) in explorer of toptron, clicking + next to assembly and rename the links that appear below. on toptron 14 you can also try to rename the file directly, and update the link.
3) in toptron explorer, using the command "renames assembly components". this procedure consists of its steps: in the first step is generated an excel file, where you can insert new names. Once you save the excel file, you can relaunch the command a second time, and you will find that the "apply changes" button is active. If you press it, it will renounce all components.

If you want to change the name to the main axieme you can use the command "file -> save as - only main file".
as for other windows programs, when a file is open you can change its name by saving it with another name, or rename it later in explore resources.
