rendering opencl - cuda

Hello everyone, I hope I didn't have the wrong section. I was willing to buy a firepro w8000 for the management of a very big project for an animation, but honestly I find myself to be quite doubtful. I have always used mental ray as a rendering engine but for reasons of time I am thinking of taking advantage of the video card for this purpose. I am inexperienced in this kind of rendering and for this I ask help to you:

1)With a firepro you can render (you should use the opencl, right?) and with which engine of rendering?
2)Is it convenient to rely on firepros, and therefore to opencl or it is necessary a picture k5000 that costs much more (you must keep in mind that I also have the viewport to manage and that I do not intend to put two video cards in the pc)?
3)what differences are there in the rendering times between v-ray, i-ray, mental ray
4) What potential does a w8000 have?
5) and the 4000 picture how do you ocmport in rendering?

your help would save me money, or at least have much clearer ideas. . .

I'll try to be clear and short. first you have to say that in principle nvidia is more suitable for applications that use cuda or physx.
before answering, no I understood if, use mr and you want to use iray (uncorrect choice for an animation)...mr does not exploit ne cuda ne open cl..cuda and opencl are 2 ways to program the video cards, mental ray and vray do not use gpu to make, iray and vray rt use gpus, but, series 5 and 6 of the nvidia gtx only are optimized .

1)With a firepro you can render (you should use the opencl, right?) and with which engine of rendering?
you with a fire pro you can use the calculation in gpu, used the opencl, which you can not use with iray_mental ray does not use gpu for the calculation of the rendering!!!!!!!!! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
2)Is it convenient to rely on firepros, and therefore to opencl or it is necessary a picture k5000 that costs much more (you must keep in mind that I also have the viewport to manage and that I do not intend to put two video cards in the pc)?
I think you're messing up. . One thing is the viewport one thing is the render in gpu.. a tab can do both....but even here if you use mr it is useless. . .
3)what differences are there in the rendering times between v-ray, i-ray, mental ray
- even here a little confusion.. There is no time limit. .Being the renderings dependent on the machine you use and by a thousand other factors...more' it is not possible to compare mr and vray with iray that is a unbiased!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!while mr and vray are biased!!!!!!!!!!like vray and mental ray times are about equal....depends on many things, but overall equivalent! ! !
4) What potential does a w8000 have?
I don't understand what you're talking about with w8000.
5) and the 4000 picture how do you ocmport in rendering?

the 4000 very bad, has little memory and a technology dated...it is to exit the k4000 and k 3000...they should go very strong. . .
questions?
What do you want to make? com is composed of your file?what type of animation you have to do?ciao. .

In principle you have to consider some things...if you don't use cuda or physix technology it has no advantages taking a nvidia... definitely better the pictures that gtx, but I have collaborators who make gpu with iray on gtx and go very strong (gtx 580 from 3gb and 500 cuda). mental ray does not use gpu, as well as vray, only vray rt can't exploit gpu.... a very small picture, a 600, for the viewport is already better than even a 580. you would appreciate the difference between when and gtx , leaving, only on huge and complex files.....if you want, post some examples of the work you have to do. ? How much ram? ?
