the commune of pavia index a contest of ideas for the spatial, functional and environmental requalification of the area containing the remains of the civic tower of pavia, artifact bound also pursuant to Legislative Decree no. 42/2004 in an area recognized as monumental and whose interventions are only related to the profession of architect.
the purpose of the contest of ideas is to elaborate a project that, starting from a first operation of cleansing and safety, to be carried out with the criteria of conservative restoration, previews the valorization through furniture obtained through material or luminous installations, the definition of a new floor adapted to the meaning of the place and consistent with that of the surrounding context and the possibility to transmit information on the history of the place.
the final goal to be achieved to completed works can be considered that of the preservation and protection of the remains of the tower, of their valorization through furniture as defined above and the elimination of the fence so as to deliver the area to the original usability or before the collapse of the tower.
the contest is open to professionals in possession of the five-year specialist-magistral degree in architecture and, in collaboration with the same, to professionals in possession of the degree in building engineering-architecture or provided with regularly enrolled equivalent qualifications.
prize pool and distribution: the contest will end with a ranking of merit and with the attribution of:
- at 1st place, winner of the contest of ideas: € 3.000,00
- 2nd place: € 2.000,00
- 3rd grade: € 1.000,00
