hi to all, I have a small problem, I have received the task of carrying out a three-dimensional reconstruction of a very large lotization compared to the others I have already done, and since, in the previous cases I had to divide the lot into three parts (three different files ) then join only and exclusively the renderig pe the presentation, I would like to know if there is a way to allege the file in a meaningful way (at least 50, 60% ) to beat me not where.
I have a modest car

quadcore processor from 3.00, operating system windows 7 64 bit, six ram giga, geforce 230 gt 1.5 dedicated memory giga.

you know how to recommend a solution, that it is not having to buy a graphic station that besides all I would not be able to shock say...... but?

thanks in advance

correctly use blocks, xrifs, separate 3d from 2d and simplify as much as possible geometries?

to make you understand better I'll explain how I work about the tridimensional

all that design develops from a two-dimensional region that is extruded to form a solid. I don't use any mesh, nor even striped surfaces or anything.

I do everything with bolean operations of subtraction union revolution etc.
advanced accuracy parameters are those standar after installation of the program, the accuracy of rendering that imposed to 10 and the accuracy circles and curves that imposed to 20000.

The materials are all photographed and processed by me, and have a remarkable resolution and greatness. simply drag them on the solid and then with the mapping stick them in the most correct way

important: I also build the tiles, but I noticed that from a flat roof to a roof with tiles the difference is acceptable

the tiles are not made once but it is a mantle that hangs ground for ground.

I can't tell you anything about xrif, I don't believe I've ever used it.

my work is all solid because I am much easier to work and manage them

soon and thanks

I will explain why my question
blocks you can use them for all similar objects (seers, railing rods, diggers, antennas etc.), lighten the design and allow you to change faster.
xrif (or x_ref) are external links (external reference) and allow you to see another design without being physically inserted in the file, it is only a very comfortable and lightweight link.
separating the 3d from the 2d serves to keep the 3d model clean and light, and you can do it using xrifs.
simplifying geometries does not only mean using simple solids but also eliminate all unnecessary information for the purpose of a render (windows, hidden suns, useless details)

Shit, my work is full of hidden suns, blinds, various rounds.
if I decrease the accuracy of the circles in the construction model also the rendering of

very kind for the help

hi r_nash, if I understood your problem essentially concerns the high size of dwg files. I also happened to find myself in your same situation that I actually solved in a rather strange way, I limited myself to recopying everything in a new dwg and saving the size of the new file (with the same table of origin) were halved. clear is that it affects the 3d and the number of layers used, but all in all could be a first solution, although a little 'strange'.

hi, now that I think about it I unintentionally noticed that the same file, sometimes, changes in size if it is moved. I wonder why, too, but I'm feeling the surgery right now, then I'll let you know.

Thank you very much
