Restricted transparent

Hello everyone,
I've been using the Vectorworks2012 trial version for a short while, and I come from the autocad world, I'd like to know if it's possible to make retinals that don't go to cover the subconsciously.
to be precise I would like to make a vector retino where the color of the second floor is transparent, no color, is it possible?
in the manual we talk about the "mode transfer of a glossy design" that in the transparent mode from the effect that I want but then I this menu' "mode" I don't find it anywhere....

Of course it is possible.
the vector retino can edit it.
one of the options in the editing window is exactly the one that allows you to have or remove the background color of the retino.
other thing, you can create a category (in vectorworks categories are the equivalent of autocad layers) special, with opacity less than 100%, so when drawing a polygon in this category will result semi-transparent. useful to create the effect of the shadow, for example.
