Hello guys, I would like to understand if with civil3d it is possible to realize a whole road project in a semi-automatic way we say so.
For example, we have a model of a 3d surface shaped with curves of the same level with civilization (command "surface"->" creates surface") and the track of my road in 2d (polyline).
I now created the axis of my road (with the command "tracked"->"creates traced by objects" selecting the polylinea-axis of the road) and the profile of the ground (command "profile"->"creates profile view").
now how do I proceed to achieve the levellets? ...the red quotas me calculates civilizations automatically? ...is it possible to use this data to make civil even cross-sections? ...by consequence civil can I also calculate the surfaces of sterro and carry and the relative volumes? ...or do I need another special software? ...to what extent can I count on civilization?
Thank you!

I used civilization in test time ago, and the answer is yes, civilization 3d does all this.

How? ...for example made the profile of the soil how can I do to insert the levellets? ... the data of red quota, project quota, etc. that are created how can I exploit them for the realization of the successive elaborates (road sections, calculation areas and volumes of sterro and carryover)?
Perhaps I ask too much:)... but it would also be useful a general guideline on the steps to follow and the commands to analyze... then I deepen with the guide.
Thank you!

Unfortunately I can't help you, it's been a long time and I used it on trial... I just know that certain things do.
However, there are some tutorials... try to follow those to start entering the logic of the program.
