Hello everyone!
my name is a federation and I am a technical employee in a company that produces furniture!
I am looking for a sw that allows me to design customized solutions for customers (and therefore with attractive rendering possibilities) but that also facilitate the "production" of the project. I am therefore trying various software, including solidworks 2009.
I must say that despite being a specific sw for mechanics I found really simple the realization of the parts and the subsequent assembly: just like making a real furniture! and from this point of view I feel very satisfied!
I then came to "photowork" to verify the actual possibility of giving a real look to the furniture but.....
for two days now I've been trying to "route" the direction of the wood grain! despite trying to change every single parameter of the mapping I couldn't get anything!
the only images that I can "manage" are those that in the window of the aspects are displayed as "rectangles"-, but I would like to "turn" those made to "sphere", because this have the possibility to be modified in color!
I'm on the verge of a nerve crisis.
Is there anyone who can tell me if I can? or if they are hopeless?

Hi, I'm not an expert on photoworks. there are however various systems to get to the set of rotation. you can arrive by editing a face and choosing from the context menu, another could be from the photoworks tree (after configuration manager) and go to the folder wait and edit the affected aspect.
In both cases you open the proprety manager of the aspects, go to the "map" and find the corner.
if you press "advanced" there are a lot of possible settings.

Let me know.

Hi.

I forgot, if you make furniture there is a third-party configurator made specifically. It's called woodworks.

Hi.

Thank you for your help! but unfortunately I have already tried to put my hands on all the existing settings! seems like a curse but the only "aspects" I can't rotate are those of wood! For example the bricks can turn them, but the wood does not! mah ... there must be something that escapes me! for now aduced the escamotage of draws the parts ui transversal sense (from dx to sx) on the upper floor! in this way the vein of the wood is correct even when the parts are inserted in an axiema! I will also try to look for woddworks, bye

I think there's something wrong with your installation, I tried to turn some wood (noce) and I managed.
If I can place a fast video.
