Hello.
I am making a simulation on a sandwich panel consisting of vtr skins and cork cores.
I set the layup of the shell181 element that I used to discrete the surface that constitutes the model, I applied the typical loads of the bending on three points. to point out that I have made these mimicles even other times but I have never had any problems.
this time however despite the correctness of the data inserted the deformed of the panel has the typical trend of the case in which the resistance to cut is very low. in practice the deformed is spigolosa.
I just noticed that:
- the difference of modules of young skins and core is high (core 10 mpa and skin 10000)
- at the time when I excessively decrease this difference, or increase to about 1000 the module of the core or decrease to about ten the module of the skins) the defromata loses its spigolocity and assumes a typical form of the case.
Does the 181 shell fail to shape sandwiches with very high module differences between skins and cores?
thanks in advance for any help
