scales in model space

Good evening. I have a domada to do. I usually hang on the autocad paper space creating windows and putting the ladder. In this case I arrived a file impaginato in model space in format a1. scale 1:1000. I wanted to ask you to go back to the real size I have to give the scale command with value 1000? the design is already in real scale if you reason in meters. if you want it in cm steps everything by multiplying for 100, if you want it in mm by 1000.
