long ago, I had to design/design/model a structure that isolated the outside environment from the interior through lexan panels. My boss used emka profile seals.
in practice, they are "c" or "u" seals. insert the sheet thickness in the part between the two lips (in the two lips there is a steel wire that stiffens the "c"/"u").
I would opt for the seal in the second image (the only one indicated with the black arrow, to understand). the one I have indicated has the two lips and, on the side of this last, there is another layer of rubber that guarantees the seal.

I agree with you @ focus on the v-ring solution; it is simple and economical and it is good both that the tree is rotating and static. is the solution normally used on electric motors.

I already use that type of seals for other purposes and fit well to quite large arches, I have to insert it in a 20mm hole so too small. Thanks anyway.
