section has led connection

Bye to all,
I have a problem with the section command and I would need your opinion....I should put in my project a conduit created by me.
I saved it as a "conducted chord" as it should serve as a connection to another conduit, but in doing the section unless the family is set as a "general model" it does not carry out the section (in attachment you see the section not section).
How is it possible? Do I set it as a generic model? Is it the only solution or is there a command I'm in the dark?
