selection and paste on another file

I made copy from a file with phoshop cs2, I opened another file a4, I glued the image but it copied too small as you do to enlarge, I understood only how to move it i.e. ctrl+click mouse.
However I did not understand why if the selected image is about half of an a4 because it pastes small in the next file.

depends on the resolution of the starting image and the resolution of the new file, if the resolution of the new file you have created is greater the image that crowns is much smaller.
