selections for intent are not managed by config.pro, you must use the right button on the edges or on the faces.
are one of the most important things to know for the correct selection of entities and to give intelligence to our parts and models.
I can think that maybe it's best that you download from the site the quick reference cards, there's everything you need to figure out how to select entities.

(c) this command to be inserted in the config.pro is little known because it seems that ptc has tried to discourage the use of the selection for who knows what reasons. for this must be explicitly enabled.
