hi, I have a problem in setting a z axis safety distance in milling for processing a piece on a horizontal center. I try to explain myself better: I have to work a block on 3 faces, I have created the 3 setups where I went to perform the jobs I need. when I went to read the code nc I noticed that using a tool on all 3 faces, during the rotation of the table, the tool on one side takes off me in z of about 5mm and on the other it takes 330mm. to make me understand better: I have to do centering on all three faces: start from g56 and the table is put to c270 I do the centerings then the tool breaks me about 5mm and step to g55 turning to c90, I make the centerings, the tool now comes off of me 330mm and step to g54 to c0 and I do other centerings.
I would need that before any rotation of the table the tool would break at least 200mm. I don't know where to change, whether in processing strategies or post processors.
I hope someone can help me

You forgot to say that numerical control (even if I suspect it is fanuc).
in any case the post processor must be manipulated, going to insert a fixed release at the end of processing.
otherwise you can try on "varies" and set "safety 5 axes". changes the scenario but not knowing the architecture of your post I don't know how much.

hi Filippo, yes control is fanuc, I solved by going to insert the safety distance value in the "code index z" box in every tool to which I want it to break before turning the axis c.

In fact, the setting that you mention has the functionality you require, you must remember to set it on individual work of interest but I don't think it's a big problem.
Good job
