I must perform the 3d profile for points playing the outer edge of a "elesa" flyer to be saved in .dxf.
using this file, a robot will perform a bevel on that contour.
the problem is to determine which point is the beginning of the profile (point 0) and to ensure that this is not random.
(I lay the profile with solidedge and save it in acis files, then the amount in autocad, I divide for 180 points, I delete everything else).
Has anyone to suggest anything?
Thank you.

so is your only problem establishing the starting point?
you could make it coincide with point 0.0

I think I should do this too, but I was forced to place the origin (point 0.0.0) in the middle of the flyer. This way, though, we don't know where the robot will start working. probably it's just a robot programming problem.
Thank you.

does not the software that runs the robot generate a preview of the processing?
problem solved. after obtaining the curve derived with it, before saving it in acis files I perform a break of 0.01 mm in the desired point with the command "divid curve". In this way I get an open and unclosed profile.
It seems to work.
Thank you.
