sw 2008 sp4.0

Hello, everyone!

at work I formatted the pc to clean it of various "errors";

now, however, I would like to ask if you know of the particular settings of the windows registry (strings to be deleted or changed) to make sw faster (it seems slower than usual);

I would also like to know how to set my graphics card to use it best: I have a nvidia picture fx 3500

thank you all!!! :finger:

Hi, mc.

So... first of all you should specify which version of windows you use. .

xp, xp 64bit, view...

if you have seen something you can do, although probably the most effective thing would return to windows xp.

In fact the good old operating system, if installed already inclusive of the service pack 3 (and therefore not obtained by installing fifths of successive upgrades) is the most "light" operating system and suitable to turn sw, to today available.

windows 7 in my opinion will have the same speed but with the undoubted advantage of being able to count on the new technologies developed, but you will have to wait at least another month to consider it.

returning to your question: on xp installed fresh there is no need to act on the register to have a considerable and above all tangible increase in performance.

question:

when you formatted, did you make sure you chose the formatting not fast? only the "profound" reset of the hard disk partition ensures the nominal performance.

with regard to the video card, the best advice is to keep the drivers always up-to-date but may occur (rare) cases where the latest version corresponds to worse performance.

hi and good work

:confused: thanks for the advice!
use windows xp 32 service pack 2 because the 3 was recommended and I disabled the updates;

cheidevo because I remember that who installed sw had made changes manually to the regedit registry file.
