Good morning to all

question:

being a third party... .
I am forced to use inventor without a vault....or at least... until it is so. in fact the vault is installed... but unused... .

the worst deficiency in this type of use is surely the absence of a "clona and rename" command like the "project copy" inside the vault

Is there a method/command/system that I can use to run this operation quickly?

at the moment I use the manual procedure. ..extremely Moroccan..which provides:

1-pack'n'go of the originals (or manual copy... does not change... )
2-rename manual of new items
3-replacement of original references (very annoying procedure: hide source files from the system, open new items, save new references, reposition the originals in the correct folder

I give myself a break every time!!!!

is there no other method? ? ?

For what you want to do, there's no need for the vault (I didn't even install it) or to unmask yourself as you are currently doing.
the ad hoc tool is the design assistant that is installed at the installation of inventor and located below:start/ programs/autodesk/autodesk inventor 20../design assistant:smile:

d assistant I used it several times....but it does not allow me to replace references...for example. . .
I'm wrong.

with solidworks you use directly the options offered by the pack'n'go

I do this:
copy of the location where you want to insert the new work of the file together higher in the hierarchy.
- open the d.a. and choose management
-so files and open the copied file
a cascade open all the linked files (which are still the original files in the original positions)
at this point right click in the action column (on the rows of each file to edit ).
opens a menu where you can copy change replace etc.
once copied a file go to the subfolder columns and/name for the changes of the case.
Try a little project.
However, it's not a walk; even d.a. requires some work....
