Bye to all,
I have a question about the table for something that has never happened to me:
Is it possible to put quotas measuring from one view to another?
I'll explain better. I am changing a design in which there are two equal views but with two different representations (cylinder inside and out) and in the original design the odds that indicate the race departed from one view and ended on the other, but simply selecting the two lines interested does not take me the quota...some knows how to tell me how to do it?
use inventor 2010.
Thank you very much.

I see hard, the views are "mobile" so parameterically I don't think you can bind them, the only one is to make a sketch associated with at least one of the two views, project a line that interests you, create another by listing it inside the sketch, exit and add the quota outside the sketch, but if you then move the views even of little things don't come back... Basically it is a manual and non- parametric thing, therefore subject to unexpected variations in case of distractions and/or forgetfulness.

maybe if you want to parametric you could create a special set where you will insert the same together (since it is a set from the representations seen) in different representation, binding the distance that interests you and positioning them as if they were in sight through special constraints. then put on the table the new set dedicated to this purpose and there you can quote parameterically.

Maybe I didn't understand the problem, but not necessarily going behind the old design, can't you solve it with just one superimposed view?

the shocking question is that the design that they have given me is done so, and the quotas are also parametric: In fact if I interrupt the alignment of the two views and move one the value of the quotas changes.. .
the design is of 2007, so I presume it was made with 11 or 2008.. .
but if I try to add a quota on that design it doesn't work.. .

I am ashamed of myself...however it is enough to draw a quota in the verse that interests (vertical or horizontal) on one of the two views, and then drag the grip of the quota on the other view and at that point takes it.

Excuse me. . .

but if I try to add a quota on that design it doesn't work.. .
If you want to put a share in that way the system is there.
put a share that starts from your first reference and comes to another ref. any place on the same view.
detach the extension line from any ref and attach it to your true reference placed on the other view.
It is clear that if the two views are aligned horizontally, the vertical quotas will be correct but the horizontal ones will change value by dragging a view over the other.

Bye.
