silent installation

Bye to all,
I would like to know if any of you tried to make silent installation of sw from cmd. I tried to follow the guide available on the site but once typed msiexec /i "program.msi" /q but besides opening the graphical interface the external parameters such as installdir or officeoption are not recognized. What suggestion?

then a batch for each machine.
