Hello.
we currently design automatic machines with solidworks 2015.
the pneumatic components are designed as a 3d encumbrance, with maximum configuration, within the pneumatic framework.
Obviously it is necessary however a design that represents the connections, and that is currently executed with autocad.
the bom is therefore not automatic, but is inserted manually within the management.
Having set up an interface structure between solidworks and management, through the pdb dbworks, I wonder if there is a possibility to create a scheme (with all the necessary components) and have a full bom of all the components recalled, so that you can transfer them.
I have searched within other discussions but are cited free software of smc property or festo etc.
in my case unfortunately, we use more brands...pneumax, smc etc.. do you have any advice?
if you are in such a condition as you manage the job?
Thank you.
greetings

the piping module binds you to have everything inside that machine assembling though.
I speak of conditions in which an automatic machine has several reference groups, in each of which there is a certain amount of objects (valves, cylinders etc.)
Unfortunately it would not even be the speech to realize the scheme once and for all, as the configurations are multiple and constantly evolving.
I know this is a difficult situation to manage, but I think many others can be in the same position.
I know of the possibility of using fluid eplanes, large companies will certainly have designers who carry out these documents (in the same way as how they realize the electrical schematics). I wonder in a smaller reality which can be the best production process to be able to have sufficient documentation to be able to insert into a management.

I would like to understand that tools are used by similar realities to ours.
therefore medium company with mechanical technical office of 4 people (without a figure dedicated to the realization of pneumatic systems)
and in all this we are in an interface period between solidworks and management putting up communication with dbworks.
I hope I've been clearer.
Thank you.
