solid edge 2023 — primi assembly

good morning to all, I have recently started using solid edge and in particular the axioms, I used for many years catia and pro e.

some clarifications, if not err (I will declare solid edge only if by compactness) in if the file name "windows" and the file name in the model tree do not necessarily have to coincide (type in caia and unlike pro e), correct?

I made backups of some assy files with "pack & go" (I don't understand what it does considering that in the backup there are files not present in the axieme on which I am working) you can help me understand how this "pack & go" works that I think is the tool to make backups? Moreover if I renounce the files from inside if how do I make sure that even the " windows name" is the same? Sorry, but if I have different names in wins and if I don't understand anything... thank you.

Another thing I noticed is that by renameing files from the axieme when I go to open them individually in solid modeling, they have another name.... what am I wrong?

hello and welcome;
the name of the occurrence shown in pathfinder is the sum of some properties followed by the number of occurrence.
to set what must be displayed as the occurrence name you have to go to the solid edge options - driving elements - formula document name.
being this a variable cannot fly the file name.

you can change the name of a file directly from windows explorer (losing the link where used); or use the design manager where you can change your name and update the links.

hi and thanks for the answer, I am old school and I prefer to work with all the files of the axieme within the same directory (when possible). now I will try to do as much as I recommend, thanks again, probably I will have to ask again
