Good morning to all, I didn't know where to post, and I was sorry to open another discussion, so using the "search" function I found this.
from a few days I passed, here at work, to version 2024 (arrival from 2021). with my regret I note that, while having seen a significant increase in performance in terms of loads between configurations of various assemblies, known that there is a general instability of the software when using adjustable assemblies; often, in the assembly environment, when you switch from one configuration together to another (with parts/axis that then change of position, size, and with relationships between them), often the file "enter" by no longer recognizing the relationship, or, worse, "spreading" the pieces in the air, making necessary a refresh (when possible) of each set (the best method I found is to pass each set from adjustable/rigid and vice versa, another solution is to manually change the family together with another, then return to the first. It's a rather frustrating job, and it's a shame that we haven't found a solution to this problem yet, which I have been responding since I use solid edge (2019); the functionality of the adjustable assemblies is extremely beautiful and useful, but it needs a rework, to avoid "pushing" precious time in search of solutions of problems that are inherent in the software. I really like this software, and I hope that, even before the change of graphic layout, siemens works on this aspect, to make the system of adjustable assemblies stable and efficient.
Good work for everyone.
regarding the instability of the adjustable parts, especially in families of assemblies, have you ever opened a ticket with assistance? I recommend you both to report problems but also the improvements you would like.
ciao @be_on_edge , thank you very much for the report, I was going to tell you that I installed version 4, I spoke to the computer staff of my company and will report on it. in the meantime I install the service pack 5.
I'll give you some information.
good work,
