hello to all, following cathetical videolet, I noticed that during the creation of a solid multisection, the prof selects only one of the two guide profiles (the one in the bottom right) using the right key as in the image and clicking on 'create extraction':
1.webpafter following his steps identically I click also the right button but no tendon appears to me, or better, only the final part in gray (not clickable) that also appears to him and that you see in the image. In this way it is impossible to select the only spline in the right stick and the software automatically selects both spline coming, so, to generate an error:1677257610129.webpsplines are totally bound to rectangles with coincidence constraints. I also tried to close the profile but always the same story. If, instead, I go to eliminate the spline to the left (or right) it fails the need to select only one and therefore the software allows me to proceed giving me, of course, the complete figure but only for the side where I kept the spline.
Could it be due to a different version of catia?

It is possible. . .

you better do everything by separating the splines each on a different sketch,

you may also use only one sketch but you should in the sketch select a spline at a time and with dx object features emission key, so make the geometries of the sketch reusable separately

ps next time ask the question on the forum dedicated to catia

Thank you very much!

hi gianni, I tried both ways you recommended me and doing two different sketches the software gives me error since the spline is open, then I tried, in the same sketch, to select only one of the two and actually works. However, by moving me to the other side and doing the same steps (I select the 4 rectangles and finally select as guide the other spline) the software does not by any error but does not follow my spline, rather it follows the interpolated profile that it had generated during the creation of the solid in the previous phase. In essence if in the first step I found myself with correct solid half (where I had selected the spline within the same sketch) and half solid interpolated by the software, now, selecting the other spline on the other side, I find myself with both sides incorrect because they follow the profile interpolated and not my spline. Am I wrong with the modus operandi on the other?

Hi.
I think you have to select sketches with a logical order
If you select the sketch 1 then the 4 then the 2 and the 3.. gives you error for sure.
select the sketches as I indicated you in the image and pay attention to the closing point, they must all be in the same sense of orientation
It has to work.

Thanks again for the availability, in the end I solved. the plans I selected them with the same logical order but I thought that to choose the two splines it was necessary to open for two times the 'solid multisection' feature instead did everything in the same. for the starting problem, i.e. the dx button that didn't give me any clickable input, I made a videocall with the prof who agreed that it could depend on the obsolete version and suggested that I select the two splines inside the same sketch just as you told me. thanks again!
