solidworks - distinct cutting

Good morning to all,
I'm approaching solidworks for the first time and I'm trying to understand how the software works.
My goal is to create a simple trapeze-shaped frame. I create a sketch setting the measurements and angles and after step on welds and associate the metal profile.
I have noticed, however, that the separate cut does not take into account the measures that I insert in the sketch, but adds the thickness of the tubular that I associate.
My goal is to have the finished dimensions equal to those inserted in the sketch, otherwise for me the distinct cut would be completely useless.
would you tell me if you can get this result and possibly where I can document it?

I attach you some screenshots hoping to make the idea.
as you can see in the sketch, the greater base of the trapeze is 800mm, but in the cutting distinct adds the thickness of the material.

the operation of solidworks is correct because it returns the maximum length of the element; Moreover, when you need to cut the tube you will not leave it from a length of 800 but from that of the greater side.

then the problem is that the cutting distinct returns a wrong value as you wrote in the first post, but that the creation of the structure is not as you want and you should see it very well from the pictures you post.
between the creation options of the structural members you have the possibility to change the point of insertion of the profile (this applies individually to each entity of the sketch)
