solidworks explorer

Good morning, I just installed the 2020 version of swx and with my surprise I realize that solidworks explorer no longer exists... was replaced with fileutilities.... Now, I admit that expl. was a bit dated tool, but not having a pdm in the company always made me comfortable, especially for previewing files, the possibility to measure to the flight an object without having to open it etc.. but the most important thing was that "where is it used?" function that for me and I believe for many of you is vital to understand if a part is already in use on other assemblies.
now the question is: exists a tool or method that can replace explorer features or will it necessarily serve to buy a pdm?

on explorer right click on the "solidworks" icon and then choose for example rename to see where used.

However looking a bit on the internet seems that there is nothing more that looks like solid explorer especially to have a preview view
